Last Friday, 17 April 2020, 14 Philippine Army (PA) Members got wounded from an encounter with the Abu Sayyaf Group in Patikul, Sulu. They are being given medical attention and recuperating in Camp Teodulfo Bautista Station Hospital Jolo, Sulu.
In the midst of the pandemic and enhanced quarantine, AFPMBAI still stayed true to providing “Buhay na Panatag” to the said wounded Members. The Association immediately released their Comprehensive Financial Assistance Benefit (CFAB) worth PhP12,000 each just a few days after the gun battle. Thirteen out of the 14 wounded-in-action Members already received CFAB through their bank accounts. They were all very thankful when they received the news.
On a sad note, one Member passed away while he was in the Intensive Care Unit. His CFAB killed-in-action (KIA) benefit is already being processed, along with other eight (8) Members. Out of the 12 KIA, AFPMBAI has already released the CFAB burial benefit of three (3) Members through their beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
