QUEZON CITY — On January 12, 2026, the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) gathered its workforce for a Town Hall Meeting focused on the theme “Service with Malasakit.” The event served as both a victory lap for the previous year’s successes and a strategic roadmap for a future built on compassion and accountability.
The program opened with a solemn prayer, centering the Association’s mission on its core values before diving into the business of the day.
Strategy and Success: Looking at the Numbers
The meeting kicked off with a deep dive into AFPMBAI’s performance. Mr Geraldsam S Agbay, Head of the Strategic Management Office, presented the 2025 Milestones and 2026 Targets. His report painted a picture of an organization that is not only meeting its goals but exceeding them through disciplined execution.
Following the strategic update, President and CEO RAdm Dorvin Jose L Legaspi PN (Ret) took the floor for the Leaders’ Address. His message was one of stability and momentum. “The Association ended 2025 strong, stable, moving and looking forward,” RAdm Legaspi noted, emphasizing the healthy state of the Association.
He was quick to remind the team that their strength comes from teamwork, stating, “AFPMBAI is united by service, purpose and shared responsibility.” Moving into the new year, his directive was simple and uncompromising: “Let’s get it done. Walk the talk.”
RAdm Legaspi’s final reminder was the ultimate “why” behind the Association’s hard work: “Service with malasakit, para sa Buhay na Panatag.”
A Unified Commitment
The momentum continued as various Office Heads and Managers took the stage to share their Service Commitments and Key Takeaways. This segment allowed leadership to translate the day’s aspirations into actionable departmental goals, ensuring that “Malasakit” is felt at every touchpoint of the member experience.

The Heart of the Matter: Service with Purpose
The energy shifted as the event welcomed guest speaker Arun Gogna, a best-selling author and renowned advocate for purposeful service. Speaking on “Service with Heart and Purpose,” Gogna bridged the gap between professional targets and personal calling.
Gogna stressed that true organizational growth is a multi-faceted endeavor. He shared: “Service for growth involves increasing scale, satisfying customers, bigger savings and symbiosis/relationships.”
He also touched on the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” (cooperation), reminding the audience that no one succeeds in a vacuum. “Pag malaking pangarap, di mo kayang gawing mag-isa. Kailangan mo ng katulong,” (When a dream is big, you cannot do it alone. You need help), he explained. His message resonated with a final, powerful sentiment: “Greater service = greater blessings.”
This is a testament that while excellently serving, AFPMBAI is also achieving growth and development.
