Insure and Refer Rewards Program (Member Referral Program)
I. GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE AND DURATION
This NATIONWIDE promo will run for a period of one (1) year starting from August 01, 2024 to July 31, 2025.
II. ELIGIBILITY
The promo is open to ALL REGULAR MEMBERS of the AFPMBAI who are:
- Military personnel in the active service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP);
- Uniformed personnel in the active service of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor); and
- Retired and honorably separated or discharged AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP, and PCG personnel who converted their basic insurance into paid-up insurance.
as defined in the attached Definition of Terms (Attachment A).
III. MECHANICS
1. A Regular Member who refers an eligible regular or associate member to sign up for a Permanent Insurance Plan (PIP) shall be entitled to receive Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) and/or One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) for MBAI Protek (PNP only) as Referral Incentives.

2. The grant of the referral incentives shall be given directly to the member-referrer only upon the effectivity date of the insurance plan signed up for by the member-referee.
3. The promotion is exclusive to a maximum of three thousand (3,000) referrals only for the whole term of the promo, broken down into the following:

4. In the event of unethical acts by the insurance representative, such as colluding with the policy holder for the sake of incentives, wherein the sales are from usual business and not under a referral promo, disciplinary action will be taken. The representative involved will have all incentive amounts deducted from their commission, and they may be suspended depending on the severity of the charge.
5. SMD personnel shall call the referrer and the referee to verify their identity and to confirm the legitimacy of their engagement with the referral.
6. Referral incentives shall be limited and awarded to an individual Referrer only. The referrals shall be processed as Host Business by Branch Personnel or through the Insurance Representatives as ISF Business. Thus, Insurance Representatives and/or Branch Personnel must completely fill out the Referrer’s Information stamped on the application form before submission.
7. Online referrals submitted by member-referrers through online and social media channels of the Association and consolidated through the Zendesk customer ticketing system shall be handled by Customer Service Section based at the Head Office.
8. Online referrals shall be treated as Referred Host Business and disseminated to the RSSCs where the member’s unit assignment is located. The branch personnel assigned shall then contact the referred member, inform that he/she was referred by the Referrer, present the desired insurance product, and close the sale by asking the Referee to fill out the application form and ATD.
9. If SMD determines that there has been no reported sales contact or activity conducted by the branch personnel on the Referred Host Business within 10working days, the said online referral shall be given to the appropriate ISF for appointment-setting, sales presentation, and closing.
10. After the Referee fills out and signs the application forms and ATD Forms, the Insurance Representative and/or Branch Personnel should completely fill-out in the stamp box the following Referrer’s Information:
a. Referrer’s Name
b. Referrer’s Rank, Branch of Service and Serial/Account No.
c. Referrer’s GCASH number and/or Land Bank ATM Account
d. Date and time of signing
11. The date and time of signing are important in cases where two referrers have referred the same application. Therefore, the earlier date or time of signing shall be recognized as the official referral entry.
12. Referral incentives for application forms that have incomplete Referrer’s Information shall not be processed for a referral incentive.
13. All application forms and ATD Forms shall be submitted to the nearest AFPMBAI branch or extension office by the ISF or Branch Personnel for processing.
14. Referrers may request for a scheduled caravan for product feature presentations.
15. Exclusions from the Promo:
a. Referees who are not eligible to be a regular member of AFPMBAI under its By-laws.b. Referrers who refer their own MBAI Protek (for PNP personnel only) Permanent Insurance Plan (PIP) applications.
c. If there is already an PIP or MBAI Protek application in process.
At the end of program, the top five (5) IRs with a minimum of 24 counts (qualified referrals) shall be awarded an all-expenses paid 3D2N holiday vacation for two to Boracay Island as a non-cash incentive.
The RSSC with the highest qualified and effected referrals shall receive thirty thousand pesos (P30,000.00) as team celebration budget.
IV. GUIDELINES ON THE PROCEDURE/GRANT OF REFERRAL INCENTIVES
The following are the guidelines regarding the insurance application bank details requirements for the release of the incentives to the Referrer:
1. Each effected referral Permanent Insurance Plan (PIP) shall be given a referral incentive of Php500.00 for PIP and Php1,000.00 for MBAI Protek.
2. Marketing Division shall be contacting the successful Referrer for their GCASH or Land Bank account details in order to deposit the referral incentive.
3. The referral incentive(s) shall be credited to the GCASH account of the Referrer by default once the member-referee’s insurance application becomes effective.
4. The Underwriting, Policy and Membership Department (UPMD) shall give a monthly list of approved referral applications, consisting of the Referee and Referrer details, not later than the 5th day of the following month to the Information Technology Division (ITD) and Strategic Marketing Department (SMD) for verification.
5. ITD shall provide the monthly effected application, based on the approved policy list from UPMD, to the Marketing Division.
6. The verified effected referral applications with GCASH or Land bank ATM account details, shall be forwarded to the Cash Management Department (CMD) for the release of the incentives.
7. All referral incentives are non-transferable.
V. DISQUALIFIED PARTICIPANTS:
AFPMBAI’s employees, suppliers, contractors, vendors, agencies and consultants, including their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining the promotion.
ATTACHMENT A – DEFINITION OF TERMS
a. CARAVAN – an event where a team composed of AFPMBAI branch personnel, ISF, or Loan Agent visits a camp or worksite for MBAI Protek product feature presentations.
b. EFFECTIVITY DATE – the date by which the Permanent Insurance Plan (PIP) insurance coverage takes effect after the payment of the first monthly premium.
c. INSURANCE SALES FORCE (ISF) – accredited insurance representatives or agents representing AFPMBAI assigned in the RSSC’s/branches/extension offices who are tasked sell and perform product presentation and providing assistance on the referred insurance plans
d. PERMANENT INSURANCE PLAN (PIP) – an optional insurance plan offered by the Association to both regular and associate members, provided that they have an in-force MBAI Protek or MBAI iProtek.
e. REFEREE – a member/prospective member who is referred by the Referrer to the Insurance Representative for them to enroll in a PIP or MBAI Protek
f. REFERRER – a regular member, except AFPMBAI employees, who refers another member/prospective member to avail of an insurance plan from AFPMBAI
g. REFERRAL – is the act of the Referrer referring to a member/prospective member to avail of an insurance plan.
h. REFERRAL INCENTIVE - is a reward incentive given to the Referrer for every effective insurance application
i. REGULAR MEMBERS – as defined in the By-Laws shall refer to:
- i. military personnel in the active service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP);
- ii. uniformed personnel in the active service of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Bureau of Corrections (BuCor); and iii. retired and honorably separated or discharged AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP and PCG personnel who converted their basic insurance into paid up insurance.
