I. GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE AND DURATION
This NATIONWIDE promotion will run from AUGUST 19 to SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
II. ELIGIBILITY
- The contest is open for ALL REGULAR UNIFORMED SERVICES MEMBERS and ASSOCIATE MEMBERS of the AFPMBAI, as defined in attached Definition of Terms (Attachment A).
- AFPMBAI’s employees, suppliers, contractors, vendors, agencies, and consultants, including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining the promotion.
III. VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS / MECHANICS
- AFPMBAI will be holding a video contest, allowing individual regular members or offices/units from the Branches of Service to submit videos using the theme, “Everyday Heroes.” AFPMBAI will upload the approved videos with the hashtag #AFPMBAIEverydayHeroes, for voting.
- Each contestant may submit only one (1) video entry in MP4 or MOV format, with at least 1080p resolution, 30fps, and a maximum duration of two (2) minutes.
- Entry must be the contestant’s/BOS unit’s original work.
- Videos taken by digital cameras and cellphones are allowed.
- Captions and/or voice recording are allowed to be incorporated into the video. However, video manipulation such as adding icons and emojis, and other similar video processing are not allowed.
- The video must not contain any copyrighted material, including artworks and other videos that are not owned or produced by the contestant.
- Additionally, entries must not have date stamps or watermarks.
- Entry must not have been awarded in any other video contests and/or commercially published whether for news, advertising, or otherwise.
- Contestants must agree and comply with the mechanics and guidelines.
IV. SUBMISSION OF VIDEOS
- To join, contestants must submit their entries through email and provide access to mail@afpmbai.ph with a subject line of "AFPMBAI Everyday Heroes Video Contest Entry".
- Filename of the video must be in the following format: “SURNAME_HASHTAG” (ex. SANTOS_AFPMBAIEverydayHeroes)
- Contestants will be required to provide the following information upon submission of entry:
- Full Name/s of Group or Branch of Service Representative
- Branch of Service
- Unit Assignment
- Active Mobile Number
- Email Address
- ATM Account Number of the Representative (for Top Twenty (20) winners) where the prize will be deposited
- Video Caption: (1-2 sentences explaining/describing the video and its relevance to the Hashtag)
- Date when the video was taken: (Date, Month and Year)
- Location where the video was taken
- Camera Used
- AFPMBAI will accept entries submitted through the official email (mail@afpmbai.ph). Entries submitted through other means will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
- Submission begins on August 19, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM on September 13, 2024.
- Entries submitted beyond the deadline shall not be accepted.
- Videos submitted will be pre-screened and pre-selected in accordance with the approved mechanics and guidelines.
V. CRITERIA
- Pre-screening will be done by the Marketing Team based on the following criteria:
- 40% - Content and Relevance to the Theme
- 30% - Creativity/Originality
- 30% - Overall Quality of Material 100% - TOTAL
- Twenty (20) videos will pass the first screening based on the criteria set. Winners will be announced on the Official AFPMBAI Facebook Page (@AFPMBAIOfficial) on September 16, 2024 (Monday).
- Subsequently, selected top executives of the Association from different BOS will choose the Top Ten (10) videos based on the abovementioned criteria. The 10 Finalists will be announced via the AFPMBAI Facebook Page on September 20, 2024 (Friday).
- The top ten (10) Finalists will then be uploaded on AFPMBAI’s Official Facebook Page. These videos will be voted on by the Page’s Followers and will be tallied based on the number of positive reactions (thumbs-up, heart, care, and wow emojis). Points will be assigned per reaction, as follows:
- Thumbs-up: 1 pt
- Care: 1 pt
- Heart: 2 pts
- Wow: 3 pts
- In case of a tie in the number of positive reactions, the total number of views will then be the basis for determining the winner.
- Only votes on the main post of the AFPMBAI Facebook Page will be valid and counted.
- Voting will be open from September 20 to September 30, 2024 at 12:00 PM only.
- Winners will be announced on September 30, 2024 (Monday).
VI. CASH PRIZES

Note: All taxes will be shouldered by AFPMBAI.
VII. OTHER GUIDELINES
Upon submission, contestants grant AFPMBAI full permission to use the videos in any future AFPMBAI advertising material by signing a waiver form, which will be sent via email. The results of the competition are final and non-appealable. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Instagram.
ATTACHMENT A – DEFINITION OF TERMS
a. Regular Members
The following are considered regular members:
- Military personnel in the active service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)
- Those in active service of the following:
- Philippine National Police (PNP)
- Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
- Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)
- Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)
- Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR)
- Retired and honorably separated or discharged AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP, and PCG personnel
b. Associate Members
The following are considered associate members:
- Members of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
- Reservists of the AFP
- Members of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit Active Auxiliary (CAFGUAA), and Special Civilian Armed Auxiliary (SCAA), Volunteer Fire Brigade, Bureau of Corrections, and other uniformed service units
- Personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration, National Mapping Resource Information Authority, Airport Police, and Customs Police
- Spouse, parents, and children of regular members
- Duly licensed private security guards
- Civilian employees of other AFP financial institutions, non-uniformed personnel of the PNP, and other organizations and agencies connected with the uniformed services and major services bureaus
- Graduates of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), and Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP)
