Formal Memorandum of Agreement Signing Enhances Loan Evaluation Accuracy through CIC-Accredited Third-Party Credit Intelligence
The AFPMBAI officially sealed a strategic partnership with CRIF Corporation last September 3, 2026, through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held at the Association’s Board Room in its head office in Quezon City. The milestone event marks the formal engagement of CRIF Corporation as a Credit Information Corporation (CIC)-accredited third-party service provider to support the AFPMBAI’s growing real estate lending portfolio. Under this agreement, CRIF Corporation will provide comprehensive credit reports and credit bureau scores integrated into the Association’s real estate loan application evaluation workflow. The service empowers AFPMBAI with deep visibility into applicants’ external credit obligations and historical repayment behaviors, fostering highly informed, risk-conscious lending decisions while reinforcing institutional risk mitigation controls.
“By integrating CRIF’s advanced credit scoring and bureau analytics into our real estate lending operations, AFPMBAI reinforces its commitment to sound financial stewardship. This collaboration equips our loans evaluation team with accurate data to make responsible lending decisions that protect the Association while serving our valued members effectively.”
— MGen Peter Angelo L Ramos PA (Ret), President and CEO, AFPMBAI
“CRIF Corporation is honored to collaborate with AFPMBAI. Our CIC-accredited business information services will deliver reliable credit risk assessments, assisting the Association in optimizing its loan decisioning processes and managing risk effectively.”
— Mr. Joey Donasco, Managing Director, CRIF Corporation

The partnership strengthens AFPMBAI’s credit-risk architecture by integrating consolidated external credit data to accurately assess creditworthiness. By detecting over-indebtedness and delinquency patterns early, the Association safeguards its capital while using standardized credit scoring to deliver faster, objective real estate loan decisions.
Apart from Mr Donasco, delegates from CRIF Corporation included Ms. Evelyn Nolasco, Director, Business Information for Commercial Risk; and Ms Lovely Canton, Sales Manager, Business Information for Commercial Risk.
