The Insurance Commission’s 2025 Fun Run, with the theme “InsuRUNs: Fun Run and Walk with the DOF Family and Stakeholders,” kicked off IC’s week-long anniversary celebration last March 16, 2025, at the College of Science Complex, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.
With about 900 participants, it promoted wellness, health, and industry-wide fellowship among members of the Department of Finance, its affiliated agencies, the Insurance Commission, and other IC-regulated organizations, including the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc (AFPMBAI).
The Association was the only one out of the 10-member MBAs invited by the Philippine Chamber of Mutual Benefit Associations that participated in the fun run. The AFPMBAI even got 75% of the slots for the MBAs. This demonstrates the Association’s support to the IC’s activities to further improve the insurance industry.
The AFPMBAI’s delegation had 23 staff members from the Billing, Collection and Remedial Department; Accounting Department; and Real Estate Division. Mr. John Paolo V. Sapaula, a Billing and Monitoring Specialist of the AFPMBAI, emerged to be the champion in the 7-kilometer male category. The group was led by Mr. Celso M. Robles, General Services Department Head and Mr. Ian E. Payot, Risk Management Office Head.

The Insurance Commission representatives, namely; Atty. Jayson P. Lopez, Deputy Insurance Commissioner – Financial Examination Group (leftmost); Atty. Jason Robert M.
