GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE AND DURATION

This NATIONWIDE promo will run from 15 April – 14 May 2020

1. ELIGIBILITY
2. The contest is open for ALL REGULAR UNIFORMED SERVICES MEMBERS and ASSOCIATE MEMBERS of the AFPMBAI, as defined in attached Definition of Terms (Attachment A).
3. Participants must be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years of age, and residing in the Philippines.
4. AFPMBAI’s employees, suppliers, contractors, vendors, agencies and consultants, including their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are disqualified from joining the promotion.

PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS / MECHANICS

1. AFPMBAI will be conducting a photo contest, allowing regular members to submit photos using the theme, “Bayanihan.” AFPMBAI will upload the photos with the HT #AFPMBAIanihan, for voting.
2. Each contestant will submit only one (1) photo entry in JPEG format, with at least 300 dpi and a maximum file size of 10 MB.
3. Entry must be the contestant’s original work and he/she must be in the photo as well.
4. Photos taken by digital cameras and cellphones are allowed. A single “High Dynamic Range” photo produced from multiple exposures and Black & White Photos are acceptable. Photos taken by film camera, fisheye lens, and stitched panoramas are not eligible. Photo manipulation such as filters, adding icons and emojis, and other similar photo processing are not allowed.
5. Photo must not contain any copyrighted material, including artworks and other photos.
6. Entry must not contain date stamps, watermarks or any text on the image.
7. Entry must not have been awarded in any other photo contests and/or commercially published whether for news, advertising or otherwise.
8. Contestants must agree and comply with the mechanics and guidelines.

SUBMISSION OF PHOTOS

1. To join, contestants must submit their entries through personal message to the official Facebook Page of AFPMBAI (@AFPMBAIOfficial) and/or email to mail@afpmbai.com.ph
2. Contestants will be required to provide the following information upon submission of entry:

• • Full Name
  • Branch of Service
  • Unit Assignment
  • Current Home Address
  • Active Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Photo Caption (1-2 sentences explaining/describing the photograph and its relevance to the Theme)
  • Date the photo was captured (Date, Month and Year ex. 15 April 2020)
  • Location where the photo was captured

3. AFPMBAI will accept entries submitted through personal message / email ONLY at the official Facebook Page (@AFPMBAIOfficial) and/or official email (mail@afpmbai.com.ph), respectively. Entries submitted through other means will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
4. Submission begins on 15 April 2020 and ends at 11:59pm on 14 May 2020.
5. Entries submitted beyond the deadline shall not be accepted.
6. Photos submitted will be pre-screened and pre-selected in accordance to the approved mechanics and guidelines.

CRITERIA and PRIZES

  PART I.

1. Pre-screening will be done by the Marketing Team wherein criteria will be as follows:

• 40% – Content and Relevance to the Theme
• 30% – Creativity/ Originality
• 30% – Overall Quality of Material100%   – TOTAL

2. An initial fifty (50) photos will pass the first screening using the criteria set and will be uploaded on the Official Facebook Page of AFPMBAI on 22 May 2020 (Friday) for public viewing and voting.
3. Each member with qualified photo entry will be given instant Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00) cellphone load.
4. Photos will be voted and will be tallied based on the number of positive reactions either thumbs-up, heart or wow emojis.
5. Only votes on the main post of the AFPMBAI Facebook Page will be valid and counted.
6. From the 50, the top 10 most liked/ with the most positive engagement will emerge as the 10 finalists and will be announced via AFPMBAI Facebook Page on 29 May 2020 (Friday). Voters will have a chance to vote on their favored photo from 29 May to 05 June 2020.
7. Winners will be announced on June 12, 2020

PART II.

1. Top Ten (10) will receive One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) cash EACH.
2. A new post for the Top Ten (10) will be uploaded, and will be voted on. Votes will be tallied based on the number of positive reactions either thumbs-up, heart or wow.
3. Only votes on the main post of the AFPMBAI Facebook Page will be valid and counted.
4. Top Three (3) with the highest positive reactions/votes will be announced via AFPMBAI Facebook Page on 05 June 2020 (Friday) and will receive the additional cash prizes:

• •  3^rd place – Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00)
  • 2^nd place – Fifteen Thousand Pesos (P15,000.00)
  • 1^st place – Twenty Thousand Pesos (P20,000.00)

OTHER GUIDELINES

1. Upon submission of entry, contestants grant the AFPMBAI full permission to use the photos in any AFPMBAI advertising material in the future by signing the waiver form which will be sent through email.
2. Results of the competition are final and non-appealable.
3. This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and Instagram.

ATTACHMENT A – DEFINITION OF TERMS

Regular Members – The following are considered regular members:

• Military personnel inactive service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)
• Those in active service of the following:
  • Philippine National Police (PNP)
  • Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
  • Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP)
  • Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)
• Retired and honorably separated or discharged AFP, PNP, BFP, BJMP and PCG personnel

Associate Members – The following are considered associate members

• • Members of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
  • Reservists of the AFP
  • Members of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit Active Auxiliary (CAFGUAA), and Special Civilian Armed Auxiliary (SCAA), Volunteer Fire Brigade, Bureau of Corrections, and other uniformed service units.
  • Parents, dependents, wives and children of regular members
  • Duly licensed private security guards
  • Civilian employees of the other AFP financial institutions, non-uniformed personnel of the PNP, and other organizations and agencies connected with the uniformed services and major services bureaus
  • Cadets and Graduates of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), and Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP)
